2008 marked the first release of Laphroaig's 25 Years Old Cask strength bottling, which has been said to have temporarily replaced the 30 year old in their line-up. The same tradidion had continued in 2014.
Created marrying second fill European Oak Oloroso Sherry Casks and ex- American Bourbon casks, it retains some of its youthful brashness, while showing the depth that maturity affords a whisky. This stunning addition has been hailed by many veterans in the industry.
